Lunamar Apartments are located in the small village of Daya Nueva inland from the coastal town of Guardamar Del Segura on the Costa Blanca. An Ideal base for a quite relaxed holiday where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Out and About in Daya Nueva

Daya Nueva is a quiet Spanish village surrounded by orange and lemon groves with irrigation canals being fed from the River Segura, the main local industry is agriculture growing every vegetable and fruit, all that can be found in the local markets and road side stalls. Situated inland on the Costa Blanca.
It is within easy reach of Alicante airport 30mins and Murcia San Javier airport 45mins. With easy access to the AP-7 motorway and the main coastal road N332. It has everything the Costa Blanca has to offer with a beach, a golf course, Water Park and go-carting all within 10mins drive.

The Lunamar apartments are a short 10 min walk to the centre of the village of Daya Nueva. With its small village square and beautiful church Daya Nueva’s main street still has the feel of old Spain with its tapas bars and restaurants.
Daya Nueva is a typical self contained Spanish village with everything you require, 2 bakeries selling freshly made bread and cakes, a local butchers, fish mongers, a small super market as well as a chemist and small medical centre, a Hardware Shop that sells a wide variety of household necessities – including a key cutting service and BBQ provisions.

The village pool as well as children’s pool is surround by a large grassed area for sun bathing it also has parasols and a shaded bar area for your comfort. A qualified life guard is always in attendance for your safety. Open from the end of June until the beginning of September.

Daya Nueva’s nearest coastal town is Guardamar Del Segura, a bustling typical Spanish town with miles of white sandy beaches, restaurants, and bars,
It also has a large natural park in the centre of the town which is popular with tourist and locals alike. It is also the basin for the river Segura that empties through the small attractive marina into the Mediterranean Sea.

In the summer months a large street market and fun fair winds its way down from the main street to the beach, offering bargains, local art and leather goods a reasonable prices.

Daya Nueva’s nearest neighbour is Almoradi, which is one of the old towns that remains very Spanish. Almoradi has a large, popular market on a Saturday and offers an abundance of fresh locally grown vegetables, flowers and delicatessen-type foods. There is a wide choice of Tapas bars, restaurants, and English bars for your added enjoyment. The attractive local square is dominated by the large church and surrounded by interestingly manicured trees..... This is a lovely spot to sit and people watch with a cold beer or glass of local wine served by one of the kiosk bars frequented by the friendly locals. Or how about visiting the local theatre for a show performed by local Spanish theatre groups and choirs from time-to-time

More activities and adventures found nearby include horse riding, ten pin bowling. Daily excursions from Torrevieja marina to Tabac Island. Visit the Torrevieja and Santa Pola salt lakes where flamingos are regular visitors. There is also a Zoo between Santa Pola and Elche, with a sea lion show and a small train with a guide to show you around the park. Don’t forget you’re bathing costumes as there is also a small water park there for you to relax after your tour.
